3D Printing

What is 3D printing? What types of 3D printing are there? What types of 3D printing can TH offer?

In contrast to conventional lathing and milling, 3D printing is a field of AM (additive manufacturing) method. There are several types and selections of materials available, both metals and plastics.

In 3D printing, there are FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling), SLA (Stereolithegraphy), SLS (Selective Laser Sintering), and SLM (Selective Laser Melting). Of these methods, TH Industries provides FDM and SLA 3D printing services.

In FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling)

In FDM, we can produce samples in the most common material, PLA. We can also swap the material to ABS and PC. It is worth mentioning that we can also produce samples with continuous fibers, carbon and glass, within nylon shells that are between 0.4mm~0.8mm thick. Such samples not allows our customers to test the fit but also the function, all thanks to the enhanced strength and stiffness.

In SLA (Stereolithegraphy)

In SLA, we use white photopolymer resin to make the visual samples with smooth surfaces, which can then be painted. It is most suitable for fitting, and in special cases with low load, it can be tested for the product’s function.
